Our Story

Founded in El Paso, Texas, SVG MMA Academy was built from the ground up by fighters who live and breathe the martial arts lifestyle.

Established in 2022 by Coach Ricky Maynez, SVG started with a simple mission — to create a place where discipline, passion, and hard work come together to forge champions both inside and outside the cage.

What began as a small group of dedicated martial artists has grown into one of Texas’s fastest-rising fight academies, producing elite competitors in Muay Thai, MMA, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu — while also helping everyday people transform their lives through the power of martial arts.
